Ann (Pennica) Notaro, 92, of Fredonia NY, died on March 23, 2021. She was born March 12, 1929, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Frances (St. George) Pennica. Beloved wife of the late Paul A. Notaro.
Loving mother of: David P. (Donna) Notaro, Kathleen A. Kingsbury, and Rita M. Notaro. Beloved grandmother of: Andrea (Will) Brooks of NC, Shauna (Cliff) Owens of TX, Claire (Steven) Heine of West Seneca, and Lena (Daniel) Croce of West Seneca; six cherished great-grandchildren: Olivia and Emily Brooks, Connor and Jackson Owens, and Adelaide and Genevieve Croce. Ann is also survived by a brother, Frank Pennica, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five sisters, Minnie LaPorte of Westfield, Bertha Valvo of Silver Creek; and Carmella Privitera, Jennie Floccare-Bifaro, Frances Pantano, all of Fredonia, as well as one brother, Carl Pennica, of Fredonia.
Ann was an avid baker. Her favorites were making traditional Italian cookies, pies, homemade bread and pastries. Family and friends always looked forward to being gifted with her baked goods, especially during the holidays. Ann enjoyed family time on Sundays when everyone had an abundant spaghetti dinner.
No prior visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Cushing St. Fredonia NY on Saturday at 10 am. Family and friends invited to attend the church service. COVID-19 regulations will be in effect. Please wear a mask and maintain proper social distancing. Interment will be at St.Joseph’s Cemetery, Sheridan, NY.
