Obituary for Arlene M. Lawrence

Arlene M. (Grimm) Lawrence, 86, of Fredonia, N.Y., died Sunday May 30, 2021 at Brooks Memorial Hospital. Arlene was born September 14, 1934 to Homer M. and Mabel C. (Mau) Grimm. She was a “Rag Top” girl who enjoyed riding in her convertible with her husband John. She enjoyed bowling, boating, cooking and baking. She also liked dining out, especially for Friday night fish fry’s. Arlene was a member of St. Joseph Church, the Sheridan VFW Auxiliary, Dunkirk Moose Club and the Fredonia Beaver Club.

She was the loving mother of John B. (Deanna) Lawrence of Bedford, MI. and Jodi (Jeff) Harceg of Phoenix, AZ., beloved grandmother of Bradley (Sarah) Lawrence, Jason Lawrence, Lindsey (Justin) Wetherald and Melissa Harceg; also survived by her cherished great-grandchildren: Cody, Jaycee, and Easton Wetherald; her nephew, Brian (Marie) Grimm and niece, Barbara (Alex) Lane.

Besides her parents, Arlene is predeceased by her husband, John A. Lawrence; her son, Bradley J. Lawrence and her brother, Edward Grimm.

Visitation will be today from 6-8pm at the LARSON-TIMKO Funeral Home, 20 Central Avenue, Fredonia, where a funeral service will be held Thursday morning at 10am. Interment will be in the Collins Center Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorial contributions in Arlene’s memory may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association, (apdaparkinson.org)
