Obituary for James G. "Jim" Arnold

James G. Arnold, USAF, Ret., 68, of Washington State, formerly of Dunkirk, N.Y.,
died Thursday October 26, 2022 at Buffalo General Hospital. Jim was born March 23, 1954 in Dunkirk, N.Y., the son of the late Frank and Catherine (Graser) Arnold. He was raised in Dunkirk, attended Dunkirk schools and was a graduate of Dunkirk High, Class of 1973. He entered the U.S. Air Force on Veterans Day, November 11, 1974, having a career that spanned 20 years when he retired from the Air Force in 1994. While in the Air Force, Jim served in both Japan and Greece. After retiring from the military, he lived in Washington State for twenty-five years and returned to Dunkirk three years ago. Jim enjoyed photography.

Jim is survived by: his three children: Jessica (Bryan) Clark, of Washington State,
Mandy Arnold (Michael Jacques), of Washington State and Shane Arnold, of St. Louis, MO; five grandchildren: Austin and Chase Budlong, Hannah Jacques and Cossette Arnold, and Rilen Arnold; four siblings: Jean Bennett, Jody Arnold, John (Carol) Arnold, and Jerry (Terri) Arnold; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4-6 pm at the LARSON-TIMKO Funeral Home, 20 Central Avenue, Fredonia, where full military honors, accorded by the Dunkirk Joint Veterans Council, will be held at 6 pm.
