Obituary for John G. Walker

Local Business Man Remembered

John G. Walker of Fredonia, NY, passed away on Friday, November 13th, 2020 at Buffalo General Medical Center. He is survived by his wife, Janet (née Morrison), his two sons Ryan (Lisa) and Jonathan (Jillian), and his four grandchildren, Hanna, Michael, Ian and Elliot. He is also survived by his brother, Robert Walker (Sandra), as well as his sister Jean Gloss (David), as well as many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother Roger Walker (JoAnn). Mr. Walker was born on September 6th, 1943 in Dunkirk, NY, son of the late Robert E. Walker and Marian H. Walker (née Smith). He graduated from Fredonia High School, and attended post-secondary school at Erie Community College. John was a local business man and the proprietor for Bob Walker Services, a welding and fabricating business that he has owned for many years, and which was previously owned by his father dating back to the 1940’s. John loved the people he met over the many years in the business, and forged strong relationships with many of them. John was an avid cook, and he loved spending time with his family. He loved many different aspects of life, from sports, to the outdoors, to coin and antique collecting. His love for life and knowledge was extensive. John was loved by his family and friends, and he will be fondly remembered.
