Obituary for Margaret R. Tadt (DeLong)

Margaret R. (DeLong) Tadt, 92, of Fredonia, N.Y. died Saturday April 10, 2021 at the Chautauqua Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on April 4, 1929 to Forest and Margaret (Cave) DeLong. Margaret graduated from Fredonia High School and attended Fredonia State University. Margaret served in the United States Army from 1951-1953 and married the late Robert M. Tadt on May 14, 1955. She loved to collect antiques, gardening, bird watching, reading and visits to the Barker L library. Also canning, and cooking. Above all she loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

Margaret is survived by: two sons: Timothy F. Tadt of Fredonia and Scott R. (Catherine) Tadt of Fredonia, N.Y.; a daughter, Tracy Tadt of Cassadaga, N.Y.; four grandsons: Eric Tadt of Texas, Alex Tadt of Fredonia, Dwayne Raymond of Cassadaga and Scot Drummond of Dunkirk; two granddaughters: Katie (Jon) Pendl of Fredonia and Danille Raymond of Kansas City; 2 great-granddaughters: Siyah Drummond of Fredonia and Elliot Grace Tadt of Texas, and a brother-in-law, George Tadt; also survived by nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Margaret is predeceased by her husband, Robert M. Tadt; a brother, Forest DeLong and sister-in-law, Alberta Tadt.

Calling hours are Friday, 7-9pm and Saturday from 10am-11 am, at the LARSON-TIMKO Funeral Home, 20 Central Avenue, Fredonia, where a funeral service will follow Saturday at 11am.
