Obituary for Maureen Pagano

Maureen Osborne Pagano, of Fredonia, N.Y., passed away Friday December 10, 2021 at Brooks Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Maureen was born June 26, 1944, the daughter of Chester and Mary (Rooney) Osborne. Raised in Center Moriches, Long Island, NY, at 18 years old she left home for the first time to study Flute at the State University of New York at Fredonia. Shortly after arriving, she met Frank Pagano, who would become her husband of 56 years. Fredonia was her home, where she was a positive influence in the community and was loved and valued by so many friends. Her passion was food, cooking, baking, and sharing meals and recipes with friends and family. The true love of her life was her family.
With her husband Frank Pagano, Maureen loved and raised three children: Michelle (Chris) Heck of Pittsburgh, PA, Paul (Melissa) Pagano of Dunkirk and Jennifer (Charlie) Stocksdale of Plain City, OH. She adored her grandchildren: AnnieGrace, Lilly and Chaz, as she doted on them and reveled in their interests and successes. She was blessed to have the love and share her love with four grandchildren by marriage: Christopher Heck, Alexandra Heck, Jonathan Heck and Mason Pisano.
In addition to her immediate family, Maureen is survived by her siblings: Patricia, Virginia, Jimmy and Kevin and Brother–in-law, Joe Pagano. She was beloved “Aunt Maureen” to nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.
Visitation hours are Wednesday from 4-7 pm and Thursday from 4-7 pm at the LARSON-TIMKO FUNERAL HOME, 20 Central Avenue, Fredonia, N.Y. (Masks are required for all attending.) A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Church, 1032 Central Avenue, Dunkirk, N.Y. Friday morning at 10 am. (Masks required for all attending). Please assemble at Church. The Funeral Mass will be live streamed on Maureen’s link on the Larson-Timko Funeral Home website, larsontimkofuneralhome.com, commencing at 9:45 am on Friday.
