Nancy T. Tylock (Towne), 87, of Fredonia, N.Y. died Sunday December 20, 2020 at the St. Joseph’s Post-Acute Care Facility in Orchard Park, N.Y.; she was born December 17, 1933 in Dunkirk, to Kenneth and Dorothy (Smith) Towne. Nancy graduated from Dunkirk High School, class of 1951. After high school Nancy went to work for the Van Raalte Co. in Dunkirk. On September 22, 1956 Nancy married her husband, Walter E. Tylock, who passed away on August 2, 2016, a few weeks prior to the couple’s 60th wedding anniversary. She went on to work for the Fredonia Central Schools in food service and later as a home health care aide. Nancy was a member of Fredonia First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed loved crafting, sewing, knitting and baking. Above all, family was most important to Nancy.
She loved being together with family, always found the good in people and was always first to offer love and help when it was needed most.

Nancy is survived by: her two children: Karen (James) Birmingham of North Tonawanda, N.Y. and Michael C. (Jennifer) Tylock of Hamburg, N.Y.; three grandchildren: Brenna Birmingham, Dylan and Jamie Tylock; her sister, sister Diane (Dohn) Kissinger of Eldarado Hills, Ca. and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Kenneth and Dorothy Towne and her husband Walter E. Tylock, Nancy is predeceased by her son, Curtis Tylock, and two brothers: Dr. Richard (late Elaine) Towne and William (late Jennie) Towne.

Calling hours are Wednesday from 12pm-2pm at the LARSON-TIMKO Funeral Home, 20 Central Avenue, Fredonia, N.Y., followed by a private funeral service. COVID regulations will be in effect. Please wear a mask and maintain 6 feet social distance. Capacity is limited due to COVID regulations, please expect delays. Interment will be in Willowbrook Park Cemetery.
