Obituary for Victor J. Otero-Ortiz
Victor J. Otero-Ortiz, 78, of Dunkirk, formerly of West Haven, CT, N.Y. died Friday December 11, 2020 at UMPC Chautauqua in Jamestown, N.Y. Victor was born February 14, 1942 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, the son of Maximino and Etanisla (Ortiz) Otero. He was a U. S. Army veteran and a carpenter by trade. He owned and operated Otero Home Improvement in West Haven, CT.
Victor is survived by his wife, Juanita Otero; children:Taina K. Otero, Stanton Otero, Victor M. Otero, Zinnia L. Vargas, and Victor J. Otero, Jr.; grandchildren: Joel A. Lopez, Anthony I. Otero, VictorJ. Otero, III, Julianna Rivera,Jonathan Vargas and 6 great-grandchildren.
Victor loved spending time with his family and friends. He also had a passion for wood sculpting, building and fishing. Victor had strong opinions and shared them with everyone. He loved to tell stories from the past and was known for always providing advice whether it was requested or not. Victor was a generous person who touched so many lives, he will be missed by all.
