Obituary for Walter Stephen Jusko

Walter Stephen Jusko, 93, Fredonia, N.Y., died Friday October 7, 2022 at the Heritage Village Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility in Gerry. Walter was born July 6, 1929 to Stephen and Stephanie “Stella” (Pacos) Jusko. He was a United States Army Veteran, serving during the Korean War from 1951 to 1953. A hard working man, Walter never missed a day of work. Throughout his life he worked at various companies, including: General Electric, Allegany Ludlum, Roblin Steel and A. Sams and Sons. Although busy working and raising his family, he had had several hobbies. He enjoyed carpentry and woodworking. Creative by nature, he was fond of inventing useful household items. He also enjoyed making his own wine, and as Walter would say, “The Recipe”. He was an avid gardener. A proud owner of a 1928 Model “A” car, Walter enjoyed driving his grandchildren and family members around town. Walter was a member of the Dunkirk American Legion Post No. 62, John T. Murray VFW Post No. 1017, the Kosciusko Club and the Moniuszko Club. Although he lived in Buffalo Bills country, his favorite football team was the Miami Dolphins and enjoyed watching them on TV whenever he could. Walter’s family will always remember him for his unique wittiness, his weird sense of humor and his quick come backs.

Walter is survived by: his wife, Delphine A. (Kuczenski) Jusko.
